Expert Second Opinions and Final Reports
The MGH Cardiovascular CT Teleradiology Program will provide expert second opinions and final reports in cardiovascular CT scans. Our services can be obtained based on your needed coverage. Having our experts providing second opinions and final reads will help your radiologists/cardiologists establish your program and give the adequate initial feedback to become comfortable in cardiovascular CT. It is recommended that the MGH Cardiovascular CT Teleradiology Team establish a working relationship with your group for this system to work most effectively.
Our qualified team performs interpretation of the following types of cardiovascular CT studies:
Cardiac CT:
- Coronary CT Angiography
- Coronary CT Angiography and evaluation of non-cardiac findings
- Coronary CT Angiography and evaluation of left ventricular function
- 3D Reconstructions
Vascular CTA:
- CTA of the aorta (thoracic and abdominal)
- CTA of abdominal visceral vessels (Renal arteries, SMA and celiac trunk)
- CTA of the lower extremities arteries
- CTA of the carotids
Report Turnaround Time
Clear, concise second opinion reports and final reports of cardiovascular CT scans will usually be sent to you within one business day. We provide accurate reports on time. We consistently monitor our turnaround times to assure that we are exceeding your expectations.
Continuous QA of Images
The radiologists and cardiologists at MGH have extensive experience interpreting CTA examinations. Through our Quality Assurance monitoring program, we continually monitor the quality of the studies and offer suggestions for quality improvement. Our experts are available for consultations and will provide assistance with any questions regarding image quality. If necessary and upon request, we will send one of our experts to your facility for continuing education and quality improvement.
IT Support
Our experienced IT team will guide your institution through the set-up process. Our information technology experts will interface with the computers at your facility allowing us to quickly transfer and analyze the raw CT data.
3D Reconstructions
We also offer 3D reconstruction services. Our laboratory is staffed with experienced technologists and radiologists dedicated to cardiovascular imaging post-processing.
